Navajo polished, pinion-slip pot with “rug design” opening by Susie A. Williams, daughter of Rose Williams and sister of Alice Cling. (See Hartman (1987:77-80). A similar pot is in the Arizona State Museum collection, Tucson. The contrast in Navaho pottery styles between pots 1969-07, 1991-08, and 1991-07 show a clear evolution from pottery for home use toward pottery that meets Anglo collector standards of beauty.
