1995-10 Blushed Plainware Ladle

Object ID:
1995-10

Artist:
Mark Tahbo

Dimensions:
2.25" h X 5.00" w X 12.75" l

Throughout his career Mark has had a fine sense of form and blushing (firing color), as demonstrated by this simple piece. According to Rick Dillingham, Mark uses “Mop ‘N Glow” instead of the traditional mutton fat to get this sparking glow as his finish. [Grin!]

For another beautifully sculpted ladle, see 2009-07 by Randall Sahmie.

Purchase History:
I had seen this piece for several years on the top shelf of the old bank vault at Nakai Indian Jewelry in Holbrook, AZ, and finally purchased it on 7/6/95.
