1999-15 Cylinder with Monochromatic Thunderbird Design

Cylinder pot with polychromatic abstract bird design, Laura Tomosie. Laura was the sister of Grace Chapella (1993-01 and 1991-10) but as a potter, she was not as prolific or well known as Grace was. (Rick Dillingham had to borrow a Laura Tomosie pot from Rita Neal to illustrate his book Fourteen Families, p. 4) A relatively simple pot, the design has a strong if somewhat goofy sensibility.
