Hopi-Tewa pot with three repeating panels of polychromatic design on the lower body, monochromatic line design on tapered upper body. Notice that the pot is not symmetrical.

Karen is the daughter of Emily Shupla Komalestewa (see 2002-10) and the great-granddaughter of Nampeyo and Lesou—although this is through male descent and thus not recognized as part of the Nampeyo lineage in Hano.

Purchase History:
Purchased on 3/12/03 on eBay from Michael Graham of New Gloucester, ME. He purchased the pot from Karen in 1997 in front of the Visitor’s Center, Sichomovi.
