Hopi-Tewa seedpot with polychrome designs. The widest part of the jar is decorated with two triangular designs organized into four panels. Below this belt the jar is undecorated. Above this belt around the opening is a black and red panel of motifs incorporating rain clouds, crosshatched triangles and two sets of curvilinear elements.
For a picture of Violet, see Gaede (1977:21). A bowl by her daughter, Anita Polacca, was the first pottery purchased in this collection (1960-01).
