This is one of the more carefully painted and graceful designs that I have seen by Laura Tomosie. Joy Sandino (now Sandino-Bohlmann) was a student at the University of Northern Arizona in 1964 and purchased several pots by Laura Tomosie at a Native American festival held in Flagstaff. (Probably the MNA Navajo Show, although the potter was Hopi.) Several years later, Joy gave the pots to her sister, Rena, who has enjoyed the collection for many years and is now selling it on eBay.
