Melda is the daughter of Leah (see 1991-04) and sister of Rayvin (see 1992-03) and James (see 1992-08). For another Melda pot, see 2009-05.
Melda was 15 years old when her mother died and she was then raised by her grandmother, Fannie, who taught all three grandchildren how to make pottery. As near as I can tell, Melda made substantial amounts of pottery as a young woman, but I do not see any pots made more recently.
