While the technique for creating the design has been called “corrugated,” this is only an impression and not a description of the process of creating this pot. Here the coils used to form the pot have been smoothed out and then the impressed design added. A true corrugated pot (see 1998-07 and 2012-10
) is formed of coils that are smoothed out on the interior but left exposed on the exterior.
